Release note: 202608

GS1 Data Model 3136 introduces new regulatory and product attributes, expanded classification coverage, updated code lists, and improved attribute guidance. This release also restructures contact information into nested groups, requiring affected client mappings to be reviewed and remapped.

Breaking and migration-impacting changes
  • Contact information is now nested:
    3.068 → 0.147 → 3.071 / 3.072
Existing mappings for these (now) child group mappings are cleared and need to be mapped again.

Removed attributes:
  • 0.150 — Repairability Index; superseded by sustainability attributes
    0.621/0.622.
  • 4.622 — Tile Tool Type; moved to 4.610.

Several local code lists were renamed or consolidated under BNL_* identifiers. Value
mappings targeting the old picklists must be migrated through the corresponding 3136 picklists.
